Vinicius Jr Extends Regret to Los Blancos Devotees
Vinicius Jr has scored five strikes in 10 Spanish league outings during the current campaign.
Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Jr has apologised to the fanbase for his conduct when substituted in the recent intense Clasico clash victory.
He was substituted in the 72nd minute and showed his frustration by heading directly off the pitch.
The Brazilian eventually reappeared to the dugout and, following his club's narrow triumph, sought to engage Barcelona's opposing player during unpleasant after the game incidents.
"Today I want to say sorry to all the Madridistas for my response when I was replaced in the derby," he shared on X.
"In the same way as I have said in person during today's training, I also want to say sorry once more to my colleagues, the team, and the club president.
"Occasionally fervor gets the better of me because I continuously aim to win and help my team. My determined nature stems from the affection I have for this club and each thing it represents."
The player moved to the Spanish capital from Brazil in recent years for ÂŁ38.7m and has notched triple figures in more than 300 games.
But his career in the La Liga is far from certain with rumors in the past few months stating that Los Blancos would consider letting the young star depart if they obtained a suitable offer.
When he was substituted on the match day, TV coverage from network the service picked him up saying: "Always me! I'm leaving the team! It's better if I depart, I'm moving on."
In his new post on social media, he stated: "I vow to keep fighting at all times for the good of the club, as I have done since the initial arrival."
